Nuclear in Texas! with Karen Hadden of SEED Coalition
Recently, a fire broke out in a transformer associated with the South Texas Nuclear Plant (STP). Although the fire did not cause any major health issues or concerns about critical safety, citizens are worried about the overall environmental risks as the plant continues to age. The STP has been plagued with health and safety issues since its inception in 1971. We spoke with Karen Hadden the Executive Director of the SEED Coalition about the recent fire, the environmental and safety concerns regarding the STP, and overall issues with nuclear.
